I’m going on my first multi-day ice fishing trip in a few weeks. I have an Ion G2 auger and will have access to a snowmobile. I’m considering buying another auger battery, but I’m also trying to think outside the box. What’s the best way to recharge the Ion augers battery using the 12v on the snowmobile? Can I use an inverter? If so, what wattage inverter would be required? What kind of charging time should I expect? Would it be slower than charging the battery at home? Got some brand new blades for my manual auger last year and it made a huge difference, this year it doesnt seem to be cutting as good. I probably only used it a couple dozen times or so and I kept the blades covered when not in use. I don't think its bad enough to warrant taking it in for a full resharpening. Is there a good way to just do a quick sharpen or touch up of the blades? I was wondering if I could use a standard knife sharpener, either a pull through style or the bar style you slide... My recently purchased gas auger has been not starting. It is a Eskimo Z51 shark. bought it with gas in it, used it 3 times without issue and then when I put new mix in it it hasn't been running since. I pulled the spark plug and it has been flooding when I try to start it. I took off the exhaust to see if that was clogged the exhaust is clear. Fuel lines are clear. It did start and run when I turned the idle screw way out and ran it lean. Does this seem like a carburetor issue? The previous owne...

I was thinking 100% steel 8inch with the drop plate. Does anyone have a model like this? Or want to weigh in on something similar? The only reason i want 100% steel is I'm a "buy it for life" kind of guy. I know they're heavier but I'm a construction worker, I'm used to a little extra effort.
