Determine whether the triangles are similar. If so, what is the similarity statement and the postulate or theorem used? A scale factor is the number that is used as the multiplier when scaling the size of an object. It can be used to scale objects in 1, 2 or 3 dimensions and as fractions, ratios, percentages, or decimals. When a scale factor is applied, the size of the object is increased or decreased according to the desired scale.
In a diagram of a landscape plan the scale is 1cm=10ft. Step 1: Create a grid. Basically I use an Excel spreadsheet like it is graph paper and just draw out my plan to scale. Start by making a grid in your Excel worksheet. I do this by changing the column width and row heights so they look like grid paper. Looking at my saved sheets they say the column width is 2 and the row height is 14.5. A room of 5.2 meters by 4.8 meters, what is the scale size for the building plan at scale 1:100 ? First, we can convert the unit from meter to centimeter. 5.2 m = 5.2 × 100 = 520 cm 4.8 m = 4.8 × 100 = 480 cm Then, convert by scaling 520 cm × 1 ÷ 100 = 5.2 cm In a diagram of a landscape plan, the scale is 1 cm=10 ft. Answer 5.0 /5 9 This is the scale plan, and then we could figure out these dimensions in the real world by looking at the scale factor right over here. It's an 80 to 1 scale floor plan. And we can assume that the house is much bigger than the floor plan. So the 80, for every 80 units in the house, that represents 1 unit on the floor plan.

We were looking to capture a foggy sunrise view of Half-Dome in Yosemite, but the weather wasnât cooperating with us. The fog that did show up was low-lying and moving quickly through the trees like a ghostly river meandering through the canyon, swirling around the tallest trees in small eddies. Like too many forests, the valley is infested with borers, which has killed thousands of trees. The splash of golden trees mixed with the green is actually really beautiful, but a sad reminder of how fragile the forest is.
